NBA Celebrates 1 Billion YouTube Views with a video of fantastic moments


The Official YouTube Channel of the NBA celebrates 1 Billion views. As a Thank You to the NBA's fans, here is a video showcasing the best moments since the channel's inception.



To celebrate its massive achievement, the league put together the video mashup above to show off some of its most viral moments since becoming the first sports league to launch its own channel in 2007. There's Shaq, LeBron, Dwight Howard in an All-Star Dance-OffKobe Bryant's Top 10 Plays of 2007Griffin's INSANE dunk of the year!, and many more trick shots, slams and buzzer-beaters.

The NBA has been very popular on YouTube because of its great content - high flying dunks, great personalities - among other things. Last November, the NBA announced a plan to provide fans with more than 350 NBA Development League games streamed live during the 2012-13 regular season, and it is socially dominant on other platforms too.

It claims more than 325 million combined likes and followers for official player, team and league pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Chinese networks Sina Weibo and Tencent. In May 2012, the NBA became the first sports league to reach 5 million Twitter followers, and now has more than 6.3 million.
